Sriracha Heart Hummus
  • 15 oz canned chick peas (garbanzos), drained
  • 15 oz canned chick peas (garbanzos), with liquid
  • 0.25 cup (35 g) raw sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp of sriracha, plus some for the heart
  • 1 garlic clove, peeled
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp kosher salt

Place chick peas, sesame seeds, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, salt, and sriracha into a blender or Vitamix  in the order listed and secure lid. Turn machine on and slowly increase speed to high. Blend 1 minute, using a tamper or by scraping down the sides with spatula to push the ingredients into the blades every so often. Let sit in the refrigerator for a least 4 hours. Draw a heart with Sriracha right before serving. Recipe inspired from Vitamix.
